Joy is a choice. You can either choose joy…everyday or not. Joy is NOT determined by your circumstances. Joy is an overflow of the heart.
It is easy to choose joy when things are going good, right? But, what happens when things are not good? What do you do then? How do you react?
You could choose to look through the lens of your circumstances. And, if those circumstances are not how you want them to be or thought they would be, it will be really hard for you to rise above and live the life that God intended you to live.
I know it is hard to choose joy everyday.
Sometimes I let my life overwhelm me and take over every part of my being. I become cranky, grouchy, and oh so tired. Does this happen to you too? I don't know about you…but I really don't like this side of me.

God has asked us to choose joy because He sent His son to bear the weight of all of ours sins. Past, present and future. We are to live a joyful life because He has given us a life worth living.
Go on and share your joy. Your joy can spread like a wildfire.
When you choose joy it is impossible not to smile. It is very difficult to live defeated when you are smiling.
Find the joy…regardless of your circumstances. And leave it behind for others to see, feel and grab.
Giving without expecting anything in return comes with its own set of rewards. Giving joy is an example of one of those rewards. When you give the gift of joy others can find joy too.
Life certainly has its sorrows. Unexpected things happen all of the time. You CAN choose to live a joyful life.
