Have you ever felt unworthy? Or wondered why bad things keep happening to you and think that maybe it’s because of something you did in your past? Has anyone hit you with words like ‘you are stupid’ ‘you are so fat’ ‘you are worthless’ ‘you are a terrible mother’ ‘you are a terrible wife’ ‘I hate you – no one could love you’ Have friends hurt you – betrayed your trust? Has your spouse cheated on you and now you trust no man?
I know many women who have all of their stuff….stuffed. Under a thin veneer – a veneer so thin that can be easily cracked. They are hanging by an invisible thread which could snap at any moment. And my heart aches for each and every one.
But, in the midst of all that noise you are carrying around in your head, have you thought or wondered…
Or do you wonder…How could He ever love me because if He knew the real me….He would run.
I am writing right now to let you know that God has many many things to say about you…..and all of them are just awesome!. I have put together a list of about 25 verses for you to print out. A few of them are below.
I love you so much, that even when you were still a sinner, Christ died for you. Romans 5:8
You are more than a conquerer. Neither death or life, nor angels or rulers, nor things present or things to come can separate you from the love of God in Jesus Christ. Romans 8:37-39
I am the Creator and you are the creation. I breathed the breath of life into your nostrils. Genesis 2:7
I created you in my own image. Genesis 1:27
I knit you together in your mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13
I know the number of hairs on your head. Matthew 10:30
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26
In him (Jesus), you have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of your sins. Ephesians 1:7
I have rescued you from the dominion of darkness and brought you into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom you have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
You may doubt the love of God because of those hurtful relationships or even your own bad choices. You may doubt the love of God because someone has told you that no one could love you. Sometimes churches misguide us into thinking that we need to earn God's love by behaving or acting ‘good enough’.
But, what if we aren’t behaving or acting ‘good enough’? What happens then? Does he then not love us? You need to know that God’s greatest act of love was when Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. We no longer have to work toward being loved – it is given freely for all.
Satan wants nothing more than for you to hang out in all of those negative thoughts you have about yourself. He wants you miserable, divorced, unhappy, hating yourself, depressed, suffering from anxiety, scared. The thing is…God wants you to live a victorious life.
ALL of your sins have been nailed to the cross. And Jesus says they are His now – never to be given back. He loves you that much. All you have to do is let Him know you are a sinner in the need of a Savior. Very simple actually. Ahhh, I just love that. Makes my heart so happy.
I have put together some Bible verses for you to carry around. It is titled ‘Scripture to Hang Onto While Fighting for Your Life’. We are in a battle – the battle for you and your soul. I urge you to…..Print them out. Write them on notecards. Laminate them. Stick them on your bathroom mirror. Post them on your rear view mirror. Memorize them.
And, whenever the noise in your head begins, or someone is shouting abuse at you, say these verses over and over and over. Claim victory over Satan. Tell Satan to get behind you. Hold on to the promises of God. I promise you it is worth it.
‘For God so loved the world that He gave his only son, that whomever believes in Him will be saved and have eternal life.’ John 3:16. And, you are part of that world.
And, if you have no idea how to become a daughter of the King, or unsure about any of this – my contact form is at the bottom of this page. Just say ‘I need help believing God loves me’ in the message line. I will get back with you. I promise.
