I love die cut flowers and leaves. I love the layering and the great depth that the layering gives you. Sometimes I want to ‘step it up' a bit. And, in my usual Jane ‘let's get it done' mentality, I slapped on some watercolor. Yup. I slapped it on. And I love how these watercolor poinsettia cards came out.
I added white and black splatters to 1 poinsettia. The poinsettia on the bottom is not watercolored at all. I wanted to give you some options!
The video will show you how I ‘slapped' it all together.

I slapped watercolor on the poinsettia petals and the leaves. After it was dry I splattered on Copic Opaque Ink and Black Watercolor.
For the above Watercolor Poinsettia card:
I watercolored this card the exact same as the 1st one. The only difference is that I did NOT splatter with the white and the black. The cover plate is Honey Bee's Garden Lattice – Top & Bottom.
I did not watercolor this card. I added red highlights with Concord & 9th Cranberry and Evergreen Inks using mini sponge daubers. The ‘kind' sentiment is from Pink Fresh Phrase Builder: You. The cover plate is lawn Fawn Stitched Windy backdrop.
