I make tons of cards. And, I mean tons. But, this is the 2nd time I have taken pictures and described the process. One of these days I will invest in a video camera – in the meantime…..here you go! (And if you have not seen my craft room check it out here – Craft Room Organization and Tour– it definitely is my happy place.)
I love tri-fold cards. Especially Open Window Tri Fold Cards. Such a fun surprise inside.
The Process –
Cut an 8.5 x 11 piece of card stock in half. You will have 2 pieces 4.25 x 11. Score at 5.5. A typical A4 size card. I used Neenah #110 solar white card stock.
If stamping a background on the front, do that now. Put the folded card in your Misti (if you have one.)
Open your card and place the die you are using for your window on the front of that piece ONLY. Cut. (Can you make a guess who didn’t heed their own advice 2 times and cut thru both layers??!!!). I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles and the Hero Arts Infinity Hearts.
Glue the back of the 2 pieces together so you have a tri fold (see pictures above). You may need to trim a tiny bit off of the piece that folds in. Sometimes I did and sometimes I didn’t.
Cut a piece of white card stock 4 x 5.25. Lay that under the window, center it on the piece that folds in, and lightly trace the window onto the white card stock. This is the area that will show thru the window – this way you know where to stamp.
