Have you ever wondered how many hours you have to work to buy something?
I have…so I put this together for you.
Numbers used:
Let's say you make $60,000 a year.
Your take home pay (after taxes) is $46,000.
You get paid for 52 weeks a year and work 40 hours a week.
Your take home cash every week is $884
You make $22 an hour or $5.50 every 15 minutes or .37 a minute.
Assuming a 7% sales tax rate.
Pretty crazy huh? You have to work almost a year to buy a car. It takes you a little over a whole day to buy a pass for Universal Studios.
All of this to say…you work hard for your money. Is it worth it to you to work 12 minutes for a coffee at Starbucks, hire cleaning ladies or have someone else do your yard? Or would you rather spend that money elsewhere?
And you know what…totally your decision!
