Seasonal cards are some of my favorite to make. I have been on vacation and have had a ton of family so this year I am a little behind with these 4th of July cards. I went thru my stash looking for all the proper supplies, and I realized that I did not have a great cover plate to use for the background – so, I designed one myself and cut it out on my Cricut Maker. I cut it out of heavy weight cardstock and glued 2/3 layers together. As the backgrounds were cutting I was able to work on other parts of my cards and, best of all, it was free! And, I was multi tasking!

For my last card I used a navy card base with 2 layers of white stars on top. The red strips are My Favorite Things Red Hot cardstock. I layered 3 colors of cardstock for the Celebrate Die – red, white and blue – made sense to me! I put a layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze (SBC |EH) on the top of the die cut. The glitter stars (with 1 layer of white behind) are cut from Simon Says Stars Parade die.
And that is all for today. Have a safe and happy 4th of July – you still have a few more days to get these cards in the mail! And the Stars Coverplate will be a breeze!
