Ready to take your craft room to the next level? So you can not only use your supplies…but find them too!
An organized craft room does not happen by chance. It takes effort and a plan.
My husband and I are building our 4th house and I am fortunate to be able to design my craft room from the ground up! From the closet location, how many windows, and where the walls are located. If you have not seen my 1st craft room click HERE.
This craft room is similar in size but different. It has 3 doors and an attached closet (yay for closets). I can put many of my supplies in the closet and not have to find storage for them.
The beauty about being able to do it a 2nd time is that I learned what worked in my old craft room and what did not.

I learned that my craft room:
I had custom units built with heavy duty pullout drawers for my stamps and dies….but those were tricky because there was a lot of wasted space (I hate wasted space) so…I will more than likely put those on a shelf this time.
I also bought a ton of Stamp-N-Storage units that I LOVE, only a few of them took up too much space so I need to be a bit more creative this time.
I use the exact same process that I have laid out in my Craft Room Guide…I take the floor plan and replicate it (to scale) on graph paper. I then make a list of what I own and categorize them – what I use most, what I reach for most often, paper crafting together, needlepoint together, felt together…you get the picture. And then I sketch it out. Sometimes I have 3-4 pages of different scenarios – until I find one that suits me.

I love Ikea Alex drawer units (same ones in the photo below)…and I think I have room for 11 in this new space – that equals 66 drawers! Swoon!

I am planning on hanging the same pendants (these are similar), using the Stamp-n-Storage ribbon holder (Brett will make a custom size for me). ALL the ink holders and drawer inserts.
I also plan on using these magazine holders, these larger shoe boxes, and smaller shoe boxes from The Container Store. And baskets and drawer organizers from Amazon. Especially the bins for my stamps and dies. You can check out ALL of my organization ideas right HERE.

I made a video of the process – check it out below. And if you have any questions let me know.
