Caramel Corn

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bag Puffcorn (3.25 bag)
  • 2 Sticks Butter (salted)
  • 1/2 C Light Corn Syrup (Karo Syrup)
  • 2 T Vanilla
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 T Baking Soda

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 250ยบ
  • Pour puffed corn into a large bowl.
  • Add brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt in large sauce pan.
  • Bring to a rolling boil.
  • Boil 3 minutes. Stirring Constantly.
  • Remove from heat and add 1T baking soda. Mixture will foam.
  • Pour mixture over puffed corn and stir. You need to move quickly so it doesn't harden.
  • Spread mixture on a baking sheet - spread it all out.
  • Cook for 30-45 minutes, stirring ever 15 minutes.
  • Dump onto parchment paper and let cool.
  • Break into pieces and enjoy!
