Gina K Designs and Thermo Web have come up with an amazing collaboration!
They paired stamp sets and toner sheets that foil can be adhered to. Not sure what I am talking about? Check out the video below (it’s a short one). In the meantime, I will try and explain it:
Foil can adhere to text or images that are printed with ink toner. Foil is placed on top of the sheet with the toner ink and then put thru a hot laminator. It is truly amazing and I was totally blown away the 1st time I saw it in action.
The Gina K Designs Foil Mates video is above
You can also see how I used the Memory Misti and made 8×8 Home Decor pieces using the same stamps and dies.
I used the Gina K Designs Graphic Sunflower Foil Mates
I stamped on the Foil Mate with Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion Ink
I stamped the center with Gina K Designs Warm Cocoa Ink with an ink dauber
I used Wild Dandelion Foil for the sunflower outside and Sweet Mango Foil for the sunflower inside
I ran them both through my Royal Sovereign Laminator
For the background I used the Avery Elle Ray Die
I stamped the leaves with Gina K Designs Key Lime Ink
I stamped the sentiment with Gina K Designs Warm Cocoa Ink
I cut everything out with the matching Graphic Sunflower dies
This card came directly from Gina K. Designs:
Since I had not used this technique before I went straight to Gina K herself. I did exactly what she did so that I could figure it out. I then made the card above. AND, I made an 8 x 8 home decor piece with Gina K’s Mega Wreath Builder.
I did the exact same thing as above for the foiling
I stamped the leaves and stems with Gina K Key Lime Ink
I used Gina K Warm Cocoa ink for the ‘hello Sunshine’ sentiment
The cardstock is Gina K Warm Cocoa and Wild Dandelion – I love that it matches the ink perfectly.
I hope you liked these cards with the Foil Mates.
There are other designs too. I have the Thankful Leaves stamps, dies and foil mates – I just ran out of time…..as usual.
